Who should learn singing?

Gavin teaches ages 8 to Adult, beginners to aspiring professionals. Anyone who wants to learn or improve upon their singing is welcome! Gavin offers tuition in Musical Theatre, Classical, Jazz, and Contemporary performance, and lessons on music theory. Students may organise weekly or fortnightly lessons for either half or a full hour. More flexible lesson plans available for students who require occasional coaching before specific events or auditions.

Who am I?

Gavin Brown is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music where he received both his Bachelor of Music Performance and Master of Music Studies, and also completed a vocal pedagogy course. Trained in classical, jazz and musical theatre by a range of teachers and coaches both domestically and internationally, Gavin is a teacher who focuses on passing on this knowledge to his students to develop a well-rounded vocal technique and musical knowledge. Gavin has over ten years experience teaching singing at some of the top private senior and preparatory schools and musical theatre to some of the best youth theatre companies in Sydney. Gavin is also a professional opera and musical theatre performer, currently engaged with the Opera Australia Opera Chorus and recently seen in Opera Australia’s ‘The Phantom of the Opera’ as the Raoul cover.
